As millions of Nigerian Muslims join their counterparts across the world to celebrate the Eid-el-Fitri, the Kogi State Chairman, Medical And Health Workers Union of Nigeria, (MHWUN), Comrade Amari Gabriel, has called on Muslims Ummah to use the festive period to reflect on the lessons of the Ramadan and pray for the peace and unity of Nigeria.

Amari made the call on Monday while felicitating with Muslims faithfuls on this year Eid-el-Fitri celebration.

He said Ramadan symbolised Allah’s way of teaching humanity and the attitude of living a virtuous life

According to him, this year Eid-el-Fitri celebration comes at a time when the country is being confronted with insecurity, economic hardship, COVID-19-19, adding that, only prayers and forgiveness from Almighty Allah will bring total turn around in the nation.

He stressed further Nigerians to ensure that all hands are on deck to ensure that unity and development of the nation is not drag to the mud.as 2023 general elections gathered momentum.

“Am using this forum to congratulate all Muslims in Kogi State, Nigeria and all over the world for celebrating another Eid-El-Fitri which symbolises the end of Ramadan fast. While all of us seek to stay away from activities injurious to our health, our nation, and our fellow human beings and seek to live a decent life during the fasting period, we should make this solemn and God-fearing way of life a permanent thing.

“We should all extend the lessons of Ramadan to the way we live with our neighbours. We should seek peace at all times, promote tolerance of people who speak different languages with us, and worship God in different ways. We should respect the laws of the land and exhibit discipline at all times”.

Amari also congratulated Kogi workers, especially members of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, (MHWUN), for a successful workers’day celebration.

He,however, admonished them to be prayerful in view of the present economic hardship in Kogi State and Nigeria in general.

” No doubt health workers are passing through a lot in this trying period. Every day, they risk their lives at the expense of their own to save others. Yet, what they receive as their take home pay is not in conformity with the economic reality of the country. They should be patient and prayerful for theirs is alight at the end of the dark tunnel,” he said.

Eid-El-Fitri celebration marks the end of the Ramadan fast and is celebrated by Muslims worldwide while ramadan fasting is one of the give pillars of Islam.
