The Police Command in Kwara State says it has activated all critical security assets at its disposal in ensuring a hitch-free Easter celebrations.
As such, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers(DPOs)and all Tactical Units have been directed to be alert to their responsibilities through out the period of the festivities as always.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Tuesday Assayomo, disclosed this in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer PPRO for the Police Command in the state,SP Ajayi Okasanmi and a copy available to The Reporters on Friday.

The police boss tasked officers deployed for the exercise to be professional in the discharge of their duties, warning that no report of any security breach(es)would be tolerated.
” Kwara State Police Command wishes to felicitate with the good people of Kwara State, especially the Christian faithful; on the 2022 Easter celebrations in commemoration of the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“Members of the public are advised to go about their normal lawful endeavors, they should also exercise moderation while enjoying the holidays,” Assayomo said.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police has expressed displeasure at the rate some transport operators in the state were inclined to lawlessness.
Assayomo,who was reacting to the recent fracas between tricycle operators and members of NURTW/RTEAN in parts of Ilorin, therefore, called on the leaders of all the transport unions in the state to call their members to order.
He stressed that the command would never to allow any person or group of persons to jeopardize the peace in existence in Kwara state.
