The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State has started its voter enlightenment campaign across the 25 local government areas.
Alhaji Nna Kolo, Special Adviser on Political Affairs to Governor Abubakar Bello,told newmen in Minna that the approach would enable eligible supporters who had not registered in the ongoing voters’ registration to do so.
He explained that INEC would reopened the continuous voters’ registration on Monday, April 11.
He urged young people of eligible voting age in the state to take advantage of the process to register or revalidate their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) in readiness for the 2023 general elections.
“We will motivate, support, and mobilise our teeming supporters , as the most active segment of our society, to take the electoral process seriously by registering to vote,” he said.
He said that already chairmen from wards levels districts local government areas and indeed zonal offices have embark on aggressive mobilization of eligible party faithful to ensure the acquire their PVC,adding that it was only by so doing that the party would emerge victorious .
He enjoined youths, men women of voting age to register as members of the APC, with a view to reaping the dividends of democracy
Kolo expressed optimism on the party to retain the mantle of leadership in 2023, saying that the tremendous land mark recorded by Gov Abubakar Bello would enable the eligible residents vote massively for the party candidates in the forth coming general elections.
” We will continue to preach the principles of political tolerance and understanding in promoting political maturity as progressive,” he stressed.
