By Blessing Ogah.

Former National Chairman, the All Progressive Congress, APC and two-term governor of Edo state,
Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has joined the Edo North Senatorial race, ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Oshiomhole disclosed this on Monday during his 70th birthday party at is Iyamoh country home.

Our Correspondent recalls that APC leaders from the 10 wards of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of the State, had earlier called on the people of the Senatorial district to persuade the former governor to run for the seat.

A former Executive Director, Oil and Gas and a Chieftain of the ruling APC, Vitalis Eshokene also called on Oshiomhole to represent the Edo North.

It is not yet clear what the incumbent Senator, Francis Alimikhena, will do to either retrain his position or relinquish it for Comrade Oshiomole.
The battle is now drawn on who clinches the APC ticket for the Edo North Senatorial District at the Upper Chamber.
