Born 39 years ago to a humble family in Adavi Eba, Adavi LGA,in Kogi state,Hon. Ilyas had his primary education at Misbaudeen primary school ,Ikuehi in Okehi Local Government Area of kogi state.
He attended Okengwen comprehensive college, Idoma, in Okene Local Government Area also in kogi state.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from the prestigious University of Ilorin, Kwara state.
He is happily married with children while his hobbies include football and travelling.
