Prof. Rashid Haruna, Provost, Federal University of Education Kontagora, said about N202 million had been spent on the construction of building complex for the School of Arts and Social Science and General Education programme of the new institution.
Haruna told the Newsmen in Minna on Friday that the project had since been inaugurated.
He said that the institution embarked on the project because of its significance in providing the required basic infrastructure to enhance working condition for members of staff and students for academic excellence.
The Provost added hat the complex comprises the Dean’s office,head of department offices, conference room and other supposing staffs.
He said that the complex had all the required modern working facilities, including Dean office, HOD offices and other supporting staffs.
The Provost said that the project had greatly complemented the efforts of the authorities of the institution in providing a conducive working environment for the staffs.
He said that the authorities of the institution had also taken measures to continue to provide working atmosphere for the staff and students to enhance learning environment.
The Reporters recalls that recently, President Muhammadu Buhari assented to the bill that sought the upgrading of the Federal College of Educatuon (FCE), Kontagora to the Federal University of Educatuon, Kontagora,Niger state,a development that has received commendations from some prominent indigenes of the state.
