Train attack:Pray for us ,concerned Kaduna resident begs Nigerians

A Chief lecturer, engineering department in one of the higher educationsl institutions in Kaduna state,name withheld, has begged Nigerians to remember him and others in that troubled state in their prayers.

Apparently referring to the recent train attack in Kaduna by terrorists in a statement he made available to our reporter in Kaduna on Tuesday, the engineer said:” I strongly suspect we have been caged in Kaduna by the bandits. They have disrupted every means of traveling out of Kaduna; air, rail and the road.

“I have a feeling they will soon start massive attacks within the city, except the government move very fast.

“Many of our colleagues, relatives and fellow citizens were affected by the rail attack yesterday, early morning and in the evening today.

“Citizens, kindly put us here in Kaduna and other places in your prayers.”

The Reporters recalls that gunmen attacked an Abuja-, Kaduna bound train some lives were lost, some wounded and others kidnapped.

The gunmen were said to have gone straight for the VIP coaches on getting into the train, according to sources.

The passenger manifest of the affectted train showed that eight bodies were recovered and 26 persons injured, following the attack, according to Kaduna state government.
