The Federal Government of Nigeria says it has concluded plans to arrange for a special flight operation to evacuate citizens from Ukraine in view of the escalating tension between that country and Russia.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, said in an exclusive interview in Abuja that the Nigerian embassy in Kiev has been contacted to arrange those wishing to return home from other areas including Donestk and Luhensk.
Onyeama assured Nigerians that the ministry was following the event since beginning and promised to do everything for the safety of Nigerians in Ukraine, particularly students.
