By Correspondent in Lokoja.

The scarcity of fuel noticed in Abuja and some other parts of Nigeria recently hit few filling statiobd im Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State on early Saturday, leading to noticeable long queue of vehicles eased as at 9 a.m.

Our Correspondent who visited the popular Ganaja junction and other areas in Lokoja, between 8.30 a.m and 9.20a.m , reports that long queue of vehicles has disappeared but many of the filling stations were not selling the product to motorists.

Few stations, however, engaged in selective sale of fuel.

No cause has been identified for the noticeable developmnt, given the fact that most filling stations in the state capital were seen dispensing fuel, with ease on Friday.

Our Correspondent, however, noticed some increase in transport fare as a trip by kekenap from Ganaja junction to Ganaja village formerly at N50.00 has gone to between N70.00 and N100.00 with operators attributing the development to difficult in buying fuel and as at the right price.
