Kwara rescued victims: CP appreciates Obbo Aiyegunle community prompt information

The Kwara State Police Command has commended the good people of Obbo Ayegunle, Ekiti Local Government Area of State, for the speed at which they extended to the command with useful information that eventually helped in the successful rescue of Samuel Faremi Emmanuel Adeyemi Ilawe compound, Obbo Ayegunle unhurt.

The Commissioner in charge of the Command,CP Tuesday Assayomo, gave the commendation in a statement signed by SP OKASANMI AJAYI,the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command,a copy of which was made available to The Reporters on Thursday.

According to CP Assayomo,the duo were abducted by suspected Kidnappers who invaded Obbo Ayegunle town at about 2015hrs of 9/2/2022, shooting sporadically into the air.

He added that “the speedy intervention of the police tactical teams stationed in Ekiti/Eruku axis, the local vigilante and hunters eventually put paid to the murderous venture of the Kidnappers.

” The hot chase and the fire power of the Police teams forced the abductors to abandon their victims, thus making them to escape into the forest with gun shot injuries.”

The police boss,who advised medical practitioners in the state to promptly alert the police of any patient(s) seeking medical attention on suspected gun shot injuries in their medical facility, disclosed that the rescued victims had been medically examined, found to be fit, adding that they had been released to their families.

He, however, advised members of the public to be vigilant at all times and report any suspected or strange movement in and around their environments to the police through the following telephone lines:

Six expanded Ak-47 ammunition and one expended cartridge were recovered in the scene while
effort is ongoing to get the Kidnappers arrested for prosecution, according to the police commissioner who expressed the continued commitment of the police in the state in making the state free of crimes of whatever nomenclature.
