Don’t compromise job quality, NEWMAP boss warns contractors

Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto, the Project Coordinator, Kogi Newmap, Barr Ladi Ahmed Jatto, has warmed contractors working on sites being supervised by the project to be conscious of the consequences of compromising job quality.

She gave the warning during her one day working visit to Ogane -Aji gully reclamation site in Dekina Local Government Area of the state as well as and Adum road gully reclamation site in Olamaboro Loval Governnent Area of the state.

Barr. Ahmed Jatto, who expressed satisfaction on the pace of work done on the sites visited, however, noted that “there is still alot of work to be carried out” while calling on the contractors, to increase the tempo for timely job delivery.

Receiving Bar.Ahned Jattao on the site, the site Engineer for Ogane Aji site,Engr Adebisi,said that work had resumed in earnest in the new year and reiterated the firm’s commitment to ensure quality job delivery ” Newmap is known for”.

At Adum Road site, the project Coordinator, who also expressed satisfaction on the the job quality, however, emphasized the need for pace of work to be increased, stressing that “completion date is sacrosanct.”

Our Correspondent gathered that the people in both communities expressed gratitude to the Alhaji Yahaya Bello -led government, for the continual battle against gully Erosion and the attendant devastation in the state.
