Mrs Buhari calls for increased gender inclusiveness

The Wife of the President,Mrs Aisha Buhari, has called for more gender inclusiveness in the schemes of affairs to enable more women contribute to the development of the country.

Buhari made the call on Thursday while speaking at a programme entitled, “Cracking The Glass Ceiling: The story of Kwara women .” and signing of the state political offices (Gender Composition )Bill 2021,by governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazq at the stadium complex in Ilorin .

Represented by the Special Assistant to the President on administration and Women Affairs ,Dr. Rukayyatu Gurin ,Mrs Buhari said if women were given the opportunity they would do more to support humanity as well.

She commended Kwara state governor for appointing women into his cabinet,noting that the state was being celebrated based on its women friendly policy.

In her address, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development,Dame Pauline Tallen , expressed satisfaction with support for women and girl-child in business, education and health care in the state, saying that the state would always stand tall when successes of women were being mentioned.

Earlier in her address of welcome, the,Wife of the govenor,Mrs Olufolake AbdulRazq ,urged women to leverage on the gender inclusiveness of the state government to do better in their contribution to the developmnt of the state.

She assured the determination of her office to support women and girl- child in their field of various endeavors.
