Royal father loses father,ex-legislator, others condole,pray

The Obaro of Kabba, His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Owoniyi who is also the Chairman,Okun Traditional Council in kogi state,has lost his father,Pa Timothy Owoniyi.

According to family sources,Pa Owoniyi died on Thursday in Ile-Ife in Osun state.

Our Correspondent reports that the traditional ruler has been receiving condolence messages from across section of the society over the sad developmnt.

In his message, Sunday Karimi, a former House of Representatives member, has expressed heartfelt condolences to paramount traditional ruler, and his siblings as well as the entire Owoniyi family, over the home calling of their patriarch.

Karimi described the death of Pa Owoniyi as very painful and sad, adding that Pa Owoniyi had gone to be with his Maker and Creator at a time when his prayers, counsel and emotional support were most needed by Owoniyi and his siblings in their respective calling, careers and other endeavors.

The former legislature urged the traditional ruler and his siblings as well as the entire Owon family to take solace in the fact that, “God gives and takes; whenever He wills.”

” Also, they should be comforted that whilst Papa was alive, he lived a most fulfilling life, anchored on love, compassion, hard work, sincerity, and selfless service to God and humanity,” he further advised.

The former lawmaker prayed God to grant the deceased, eternal rest “in the bossom of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

” Also, I pray that as God grant His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Owoniyi, his siblings and the entire family, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, Karimi said.

Other members of the society cutting across many strata also sent their condolences and urged the family of the deceased to be comforted in the fact that their patriarch lived exemplary life worthy of emulation, among other remarks.
