Senate Confirms Kogi, Bauchi Nominees As RMAFC Commissioners

Alhaji Abdulazeez Idris King of Kogi State and Engr. Mohammed Sani Baba of Bauchi state were on Tuesday confirmed as Federal Commissioners,Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) by the Senate on Tuesday.

Our Correspondent gathered that their confirmation was based on the consideration of a report by the Senate Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs,chaired by Senator Olubunmi Adetumbi.

While presenting Committee’s report to the Senate, Senator Adetumbi said two nominees were adjudged competent for the position.

He also anchored the result of the committee’s report on documents and presentations made to the Committee during the screening exercise.

The Chairman added that the confirmation of the nominees was in accordance with the provision of Section 154(1) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, congratulated the nominees on their confirmation of membership of RMAFC by the red chamber.
