Ebira World Wide,(EWW) an NGO established by some ebira extractions to galvanise developmnt and foster unity among the ebiras globally says it is set to boost the social, economic and security of life in Ebiraland in the Central Senatorial district of Kogi State before the end of 2021.

Towards actualising its dream, the NGO added that plans were on top gear to roll out its programmes with the opening of new offices with Head Office in Okene and two other branches in Ogaminana and Ihima in the district.

The Chairman of EWW,Alhaji Abdullahi Ogu Sken, disclosed this in a statement he sent to The Reporters in Lokoja from Canada on Monday.

According to him, each of the offices will be equipped with a Computer set, Photocopier, office furniture and telephone line which will be manned by a personnel.

He said:”The aim is to receive and provide useful information on regular basis in respect of the happenings around the community.

“From time to time, reports will be made to security agencies/relevant authorities, when there are molestations, criminal activities, emergencies etc.

“In addition, funds can be raised from the offices through some services such as the use of photo copiers and type-setting of documents on commercial basis, including the services of POS.”

Sken added that the NGO would create Food bank, where members/interested individuals would deposit their excess food stuff, used materials (old clothings) shoes, books among others, to be distributed to the less privileged members in “our community.”

The chairman further told the online publication that, EWW planned to have WHARE HOUSE to be used to store some food stuff/crops such as grains, rice, beans, corns, etc.

“These crops are to be bought during their harvest period at cheap prices and to be sold to the public at prices a little above their purchase prices but less than the prevailing market prices. The quantity to be sold at a time will just be for a meal,to avoid the resale of such grains,” Sken further revealed.

EWW DAY, to be known as “Familialization day”, would be set,at a day to be announced, for members to meet, unite, and share ideas and experiences for the over all developmnt of Ebiraland.

EWW, the chairman also disclosed, would organise LECTURES AND SYMPOSIA, where “resource persons shall be invited to deliver lectures on important topics. Also symposia shall be organised along too and funds shall be needed to take care of the resource persons so engaged.”
