Late Chief Jide Adebayo.
The Eesa of Omu-Aran, Chief Jide Adebayo, will be buried in his home town, Omu Aran, Kwara State on November 6, Saturday according to a family source.
Engr.I A Yusuf, who spoke on behalf of the family of the deceased, in a statement a copy of which was made available to The Reporters on Friday said,”By the Grace of God, the interment of our brother,late High Chief Jide Adebayo will take place at his GRA, Omuaran residence tomorrow. We thank you all for your condolences and prayers.”
Family sources revealed that Chief Adebayo,(66), a veteran Journalist and result-oriented admimistrator,who held various positions in the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), including acting as Managing Director of the organization, died in a hospital in Lagos on Thursday night during a brief illness.
Our Correspondent reports colleagues of the the deceased, who expreeesed shock over his death, described him as an amiable personality, promoter of peace and a leader with unbias expression and with compassion, among his other qualities.
Late chief Adebayo was also a fellow of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE).
The online publication reports that the late Eesa was prime minister to the traditional ruler of Omu Aran,coupled with many other chieftaincy titles he eminently earned as a result of his good work for the advancement of humanity.
