The Kwara state Chapter of the All Progressives Congress,APC ,has elected Prince Sunday Fagbemi as the State chairman of the party.
The election followed a consensus arrangement adopted by the party after screening the 36 party officials who emerged unopposed.
Speaking shortly before the commencement of the party primaries held at the Commissioners way in Ilorin,the leader of the six-member state primaries team from APC national Secretariat , Professor Emmanuel Dandaura, said the consensus arrangements was arrived at after long period of screening of members who emerged unopposed.
He urged the party members to follow party guide lines in conducting their affairs.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected State Chairman of the chapter of the party,Prince Sunday Fagbemi, commended party members for conducting themselves peacefully during the exercise.
He assured them of his determination to move the party forward better than he met it.
Other members of the State executives of the party include, Alhaji Abdullahi Samari,Vice Chairman,Ishowo mustapha , Secretary,Muhammed Bilalat Odebangbe, woman leader, and Kure Yusuf, Financial Secretary among others.
The occasion was attended by Kwara state Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazq,his Deputy ,Mr Kayode Alabi , Senator Lola Ashiru representing Kwara South,Senator Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe representing Kwara Centra and other Party leaders and Stalwarts.
