By Omowunmi Samuel, Abuja.

Following the recent news of the death of a JSS II student of the Federal Government College, Kwali, Abuja, Nuhu Yahaya, the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu has set up a Committee to investigate the circumstances of his death.

Adamu, who confirmed the death of the student in a statement issued to journalists by the Ministry’s Director, Press and Public relations, Mr. Ben Bem Goong, said the Ministry has dispatched a condolence letter to the family of the boy and has equally paid a visit to the family.

The rumor of the death of the 13 years Yahaya has been making the rounds on social media since two weeks ago, alleging that his female teacher was responsible for his death.

It was alleged that Nuhu Yahaya, who died on the 9th of August, was beaten to death by his female teacher.

Meanwhile, the Education Minister has dismissed this speculation, advising the members of the public, as well as the media, to ignore such rumors on the death of Nuhu until the committee comes up with its findings.
