Five days after the Managing Director of AZECO Phamacy in Okene, Mr Abdulazeez Obajimoh was Kidnapped in Okene by suspected Kidnappers, the abductors are yet to communicate with his family,as clock of anxiety tickens.

A reliable family source told The Reporters in a telephone interview from Okene on Friday, that the family was still awaiting call by the suspects on how their brother would regain freedom.

There is, however, a different scenario where suspected Kidnappers have communicated with the family of the Adogu of Egayin, a first class traditional ruler, Alhaji Mohammed Adembe, who was Kidnapped on Okene-Ajaokuta road, barely 24 hours after Obajimoh’s ordeal.

The suspected kidnappers, our Correspondent gathered have demanded N30 million ransom for the traditional ruler to regain freedom.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Police Command in the state,DSP. William Aya,who confirmed the Kidnapping of the Adogu, added that the command had deployed its officers to the area to rescue the traditional ruler.

In another development, The Reporters gathered that the proprietor of Lifted Pharmacy in Kabba, Kogi State, Pharm. Ganiyu Moses Ozimata has also been been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Kabba.

Eye witness account said that the unknown gunmen, attacked Ozimata as he was leaving his shop located at Bolorunduro street Kabba and heading toward his house in Fehinti quarters around 7p.m on Tuesday.

The unknown gunmen, said to have come in a Golf three car, swooped on Ozimata as he was about entering his house and ordered him into the waiting salon car at gun point.

In his comment on the issue, the Security Adviser to the governor, retired Navy Commander Jerry Omodara, said government wad aware of the resurgence of kidnapping and other criminal acts but assured that government was working round the clock to arrest perpetrators very soon.
