Mr Godwin Ezeemo,a frontline aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, who participated in the June 26, primaries organised by the party, has accepted the outcome of the exercise and described it as peaceful.
Ezeemo, who made his feeling known in an interview with Journalists in Awka on Saturday, shortly after the announcement of the results of the contest, also commended the peaceful and orderly process of the primary election.
Meanwhile,while announcing the results,Chief Obidi Ebede,the Chairman,Electoral Committee of the party disclosed that Sen. Ugochukwu Uba polled 275 votes to clich the PDP’s ticket,Mr Godwin Ezeemo scored 114 votes to come second while Sen Uche Ekweunife scored 56 votes to come third.
He added that Obiorah Okonkwo scored 44 votes,Mr Walter Okeke, 42 votes,Chris Azubuogu, 29 votes and Dr Godwin Maduka, 22 votes.
The PDP chairman in the state, Mr Chukwuma Umuaba,also lauded the peaceful conduct of the election.
