It was all celebration galore as the Frontline aspirant for Anambra governorship under the umbrella of PDP, Mr Godwin Ezeemo, Saturday, joined the Nnamdi Azikiwe University community to celebrate the two years of innovative leadership of the vice Chancellor of the institution,Prof. Charles O. Esimone FAS.

The event which took place at the chapel of Redemption, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Akwa, was significant as it was geared toward recounting on the journey so far, the success, the challenges and the projections of Prof.Esimone-led administration, as vice Chancellor of the University.

Mr Ezeemo who made profound support for the project, as highlighted by the vice Chancellor, noted that there were more to be done in order to actualize the vision of the vice Chancellor, under project200.

While speaking to newsmen, Mr Ezeemo opined that Prof. Esimone had set the pace toward recapturing the most anticipated learning system in the nation’s universities.

He said, “A sharp look into the level of impacts Prof. Esimone has made within past two years is evidence of the much he would still do in later years of his stay in office”.

While reacting to questions on the standard of our education system, he observed:

“Today we are all witnesses to the decline in youth and employability which is as a result of the poor learning environment. It is Cardinal, even as we observe the world environment day today”.

“I have said it on and on, that we must remodel our learning system to fit into our societal needs, we must not copy everything from the west just to belong to the global corridor, I am concerned and determined to drive and foster the realistic and workable plans toward making our schools a place for learning and action implementation”, he added.

It would be recalled that Mr Godwin Ezeemo remains a friend of the University, having supported in equipping the UNIZIK FM and other notable supports to the University at various capacities.
