Be peace promoters, Rotary DG urges members

Dr Ndukwe Chukwu,District Governor of Rotary International,D9142,comprising of Anambra,Abia,Imo, Enugu,Ebonyi,Uyo and Calabar has called on members to engage in activities that would develop humanity.

Dr Ndukwe Chukwu,District Governor of Rotary International,D9142,comprising of 7 States namely Anambra,Abia,Imo, Enugu,Ebonyi,Uyo and Calabar has called on members to engage in activities that would develop humanity.

Ndukwe made the call during the inauguration of some of the rotary projects the tree planting and mounting of rotary bill board done by Rotary club of Awka Smithtown in Awka on Wednesday.

He urged members to always live out the principles of Rotary International everywhere they go through engaging in economic and social development of the state.
“Rotarians are to be agent of change,peace builder and nation developers.
“Key into any developmental projects that would amemoriate the suffering of the masses and partner state government in its loftys heights,”he said.

Ndukwe who was on his annual visits to clubs of the seven states under his jursidiction advised members to comply with COVID-19 measures in all its activities.
He said that the virus is real and has distablised the country’s developmental projects and urged them to make selves avaliable for vaccaination.
Ndukwe said that Rotary is one of non governmental organisations that prides in serving humanity without counting gain or loss and advised members to invite their friends to make more hands in serving humanity.
reports that the induction of new members,recognising the longest serving member and those who had distingushed their selves in rotary service amongst other activities marked the club assembly held by the district governor with zone 8.
