Three days after they arbitrarily increased the official pump price of fuel of N163 per litre to N170 and above, operators of filling stations in Lokoja, Kogi state, have reverted to the official rate, The Reporters reports.
Our correspondent who visited some filling stations such as Shafa, Tano, Yisab among others, between 8.30 a.m and 9 a.m on Wednesday reports that petrol attendants at the stations mentioned were seen dispensing fuel to motorists and other users of petroleum products at N163 and N165 per litre.
The online media platform recalls that filling station operators in Lokoja and its environs jerked up the pump price of fuel to N170 per litre at the wake of controversy surrounding increase in fuel, a development the federal government has denounced with apology to Nigerians.
