IWD: Ezeemo calls for more women involvement in key sectors

The frontline PDP aspirant for Anambra Governorship in Anambra state and chairman, Orient group of companies, Mr Godwin Ezeemo, has called on women to rise above limitations and challenge the world for positive impact.

Mr Ezeemo made the call while addressing on issues concerning as the world marked the International Wmen Day(IWD) in Awka.

According to him, IWD, usually marked globally on March 8, is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

“IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911, supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organization specific.

“The campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2021 is ‘Choose To Challenge’. A challenged world is an alert world. And from challenge comes change,” he said.

According to Ezeemo media office, the frontline PDP aspirant in the November 2021 Governorship Election in Anambra state has consistently been an ardent advocate for massive women inclusiveness in key aspects of governance, economy and other prominent Sectors of human endeavor.

Mr Ezeemo who spoke during media chat with his head of Media and Strategic Communication, Mr Emmanuel Chukwuebuka, further called on women to embrace the new challenge built on hunger and the drive to make positive impact in the society. He stressed that present realities of womanhood had gone beyond family and domestic perenting.

“Our world today has witnessed and still passing through hard times and pelirious moment, women’s passion and energy is highly important in fighting the challenges that abound in today’s world,” he added.
