Authorities of Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna have announced Wednesday, the 17th February, 2021 as official resumption date for the continuation of 2019/2020 academic session in the institution.
Mr. Amos Nmadu Kolo,the Registrar,
of the university disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Minna.
He said on resumption, all students should adhere strictly to the COVID-19protocols without which they would not be allowed access into the campus.
Kolo said :“Based on the mandate of the University Senate at its 454th meeting, the management wish to inform all students that FUT, Minna will re-open for normal academic activities on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021”.
“Consequently, all students are hereby advised to start their journey back to the Campuses with effect from Wednesday, 17th of February, 2021 as academic activities will commence immediately.
On return to campus “students should adhere strictly to all Covid-19 protocols to curtail the spread of corona virus in the University, as they are expected to wear their face mask and maintain social distances, where applicable”.
“In line with this, wearing of facemasks on both Gidan-Kwano and Bosso road Campuses and as well effective use of the Covid-19 non-pharmaceutical facilities, provided by the University, are mandatory for all students”.
Students are therefore directed to login to the University website, complete and download letters of undertaking to comply with all COVID-19 protocols, as directed by the school management.
While wishing all students safe return and peaceful resumption of academic activities, the Registrar advised them to also ensure compliance with all COVID-19 preventive measures, stressing that disciplinary actions would be taken against defaulters.
