“Mr White” others in police net for allegedly planning naked party in Kwara

The Police in Kwara State say they have arrested a member of a notorious gang in the state,”Mr “White”allegedly planning to organise strip naked party in selected places in the Ilorin the state capital.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mohammed Bagega, disclosed this on Wednesday in Ilorin while parading one of the suspects, Akinsola Babatunde, aka Mr White, in Ilorin.

The police boss said that credible intelligence carried out on the criminal activities of the gang made the arrest of “Mr White” possible at No.16, Achimugun street, Flower Garden, Ilorin.

Bagega, who further told journalists that the alleged organizers of such Illegal activity had advertised the show on social media, with a view to letting unsuspecting prospective members of the public subscribe at N20,000 per person.

According to him, the suspects planned to hold the said party in lounges, clubhouses, service apartments among others in the in Ilorin and its environs.

He described the behaviour of a”Mr White” and his accomplices as “Immoral and illegal”, adding such action clearly contradicts the COVID-19 protocols and promotes crime and criminality in the society.

“Operatives of the State Intelligence Bureau, attached to the command, carried out a string operation involving tactical undercover and manoeuvre,” he said.

The police commissioner said as the suspects hatched their plan and we’re about actualised it, his men played along with them by posing as one of the interested persons and paid the advertised money to a given bank account.

Bagega expressed delight that the alleged criminal entered police net With the cooperation of the other stakeholders when he went to cash the money in a bank.

He said the command also arrested two two suspected Kidnappers, three car thieves and recovered two AK 47 Riffles.

According to him, the suspected Kidnappers were among the syndicates that abducted four Turkish citizens in Edu Local Government Area of the state, adding that they confessed to have participated in several other kidnappimg activities in Enugu and Abakaliki .

He said the police also recovered two Ak47 riffles without magazines from a motorcyclist who escaped during a stop and search and a black bag containing the riffles which fell off from where it was hidden.

The Commisssioner said that the other three suspects were arrested for allegedly stealing cars in various locations across the state.
