Kwara Governor presents letters of appointment to 3 traditional rulers

Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara state government has called on the traditional rulers in the state to continue to carry their people along in the discharge of their responsibilities and support the State Government’s policy thrusts in their domains.

The Governor made the call when presenting letters of appointment and certificates to the three new traditional rulers in the state.

The Reporters reporters that AbdulRahzaq was represented at the occasion by the Commissioner for Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Arch. Aliyu Mohammed Saifudeen.

The new Royal Fathers are; Oba Haruna Olawale Suleiman (1st Class) as Oluopako of Share in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Oba Pharmacist Ajibola Ademola Julius (2nd Class) as Olusin of Ijara-Isin in Isin Local Government Area.

The third traditional ruler is Oba Alhaji Mohammed Akande Olarewaju Odunade (4th Class) as Onilupeju of Ilupeju in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.

“The AbdulRahzaq said the occasion had again demonstrated the respect his administration had for the traditional institution in the state.

“It is my fervent prayer that your reign will enhance peace, progress and development in your various domains and the State at large,” he told the new royal fathers.

In his address of welcome, Saifuddedd, who was in turn represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry,Alhaji Abdulrazaq Babatunde Alabere described the event as a dream come true for the new appointees and prayed God Almighty to grant them long life and peaceful reign.

“I want to urge the Royal Fathers to use numerous human and material resources at your disposal for the good of your people and to enhance accelerated development at your various domains,” the commissioner added.

Oba Haruna Olawale Suleiman, Olupako of Share land,who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, appreciated the Governor for the respect his administration accorded the traditional institution in the state.

“The appointment was given to us on trust and we shall continue doing our best in terms of promoting peaceful coexistence in our domains and as well give our support to the government policy, programme,” he promised.
