Police Parade 144 Suspects in Ilorin, assure punishment for offenders

All suspects that caused mayhem and looted properties during the last crisis in Ilorin, Kwara state would not go unpunished, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Kayode Egbetokun,has assured the people.

He gave the assurance in Ilorin on Monday while parading 144 suspected hoodlums who participated in the crisis during which government and private properties in the state were destroyed.

Egbetokun added that all the suspects were arrested with looted items in their possession, adding that the command would ensure the arrest of the remaining suspects.

The police boss further promised that the arrest would be a continuous exercise, through the nooks and crannies of the state.

The Commisssioner advised those in possession of the stolen items to willingly surrender them to the command.

Egbetokun called on members of the public to volunteer useful information to the police to enable them arrest the remaining run away suspects.
