Gen.Abdulsalami urges #endSARS protesters to give peace chance

Former Military Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubarkar, has called on Nigerian youths and propagators of #ENDSARS# protests in many parts of the country to give peace a chance, sheath their swords and give room for a dialogue with the government.

He made the call while speaking with Journalists in Minna on the issue.

Abdulsalami also appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to pay attention and address the grievances of youths that led to the protest with a view to addressing the core objectives of their grievances.

Reacting to the crisis which has claimed several lives and property worth several millions of naira.

He said, “This unfortunate incident is spreading and causing serious concerns to many well meaning Nigerians and if care is not checked, it might take the country to a point of no return.”

Abdulsalami lamented that the hijacking of the protests by criminals had resulted not only destruction of government critical infrastructure but also property.
