Patiots for Growth and Development Initiative (PGDI), an NGO,has expressed worry over the dangerous dimension the current#ENDSARS protest has gone in Nigeria, with a call on patriots and leaders to lend voices in stopping the trend.

He said:”If this trend is not quickly arrested, the nation may be thrown into a state of anarchy.

“We believe that the continuous escalating acts of disruptions, attacks, and killings in recent days in parts of the country is a carefully planned effort and handwork of 5th columnists and enemies of Nigeria to subvert the relative peace and unity in Nigeria.”

Salami said while the NGO clearly understood that the original intentions of the protesting youths was for an end to SARS, adding that such action was within the constitutional and democratic rights of every patrotic Nigerian to protest.

According to him, the violent dimension the supposed peaceful protest has taken in the past days showed that some enemies of the state are marauding as protesters to unleash mayhem and cause confusion on the peace and unity of Nigeria.

He said if not checked on time, the action of the 5th columnists was capable of causing security crisis of national magnitude that would result in destruction of of lives and livelihoods of Nigerians.
