Emir of Ilorin urges Muslims to be thankful to Allah

The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has urged Muslims to be thankful to Allah and always seek for His forgiveness and follow His ways in their activities.

The emir gave the advice in his Sallah message signed by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, in Ilorin on Thursday.

The monarch,who is also the Chairman,Council of Chiefs in the state,admonished the people of Ilorin Emirate and beyond to to always preach the principle of unity, peace and love in a bid to build a virile and prosperous society.

The Emir,who prayed for an end to COVID-19 in the world, commended the state technical committee on COVID-19 for putting necessary measures in place toward curtailing the spread of coronavirus to the barest minimum.

He, therefore, lauded the people of the state for their peaceful conduct and understanding of the current situation which led to the cancellation of activities relating to year’s sallah festival including Yidi prayer.

Duaglobalnews recalls that the committee, last week, cancelled activities relating to Sallah festival, including prayers on the Ilorin Central Yidi praying ground to check the spread of the dreaded Coronavrus in the state.

The Imam observed the prayer at at his residence exactly 9.30a.m and Slshortly after the two rakat nafilah, he slaughtered ram in line with the dictates of Allah.

The Cleric commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for the numerous efforts adopted to curtail the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

He,however, enjoined Muslim faithful to continue to pray for peace and unity of the state and the country at large, at all times.
