NGO calls for increased support for less privilege women

A Non Governmental Organisation, (NGOs) operating under the aegis of “Help Women Foundation” has called on wealthy individuals in the country and beyond to give more assistance to the less privilege women in the society.

The founder of the foundation, Mrs. Ayobola Olupinla, who made the call while launching the organisation’s “Help Women Foundation” in Ilorin, kwara State Capital, said the foundation was established as result of her passion in assisting the less privileged in the society.

“I love giving and this is the only reason that prompted me to come up with Help Women Foundation.

“I believed it will give me more opportunities to reach out to more people, especially, those that are truly in need in rural areas”

“Help Woman Foundation is about vulnerable, poorest of the Women, Women with disabilities and orphans,”she said.

She said the foundation would collaborate with various organizations in the state and country to actualise this purpose to the desirable level.

The founder also distributed food items and cash to two selected women in each of the sixteen local government areas in the state, in addition to five people living with disabilities.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hajia Sadat Modibbo Kawu, lauded Ayobola for her kindness and urged wealthy people in the society to support the foundation to enable it achieve its aims and objectives.

A medical practitioner, Dr. Janet Ogunmodede, has volunteered to be giving two hours psychotherapy service to five persons, per day,free of charge.

According to her,the service is part of her support for the Foundation.
