Police investigate alleged assasinstion of Octogenarian surgeon in Edo

The Police Command in Edo state says it has commenced investigation into the alleged assasinstion of an Octogenarian Professor of Medicine in Benin,Christopher Ogiehor.

The Police Public Relations Officer( PPRO) for the command, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, made the disclosure to journalists in Benin while confirming the development.

According to him, crack detectives from the the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in charge of homicide had been dispatched to the deceased’s residence as part of effort to apprehend the perpetrators of the henious crime for them to face justice.

Duaglobalnews gathered that the Benin-based professor of medicine and orthopaedic surgeon was until his gruesome murder, the Medical Director of City Clinic, at No. 34, Ewah Road, Benin.

Igiehor, allegedly murdered in his No. 13, Egbor Anene Street, GRA, residence was found dead in his house in the early hours of Thursday morning with his hands tied and head battered.
