(Ozumulu)

As all hands are deck to find vaccine to the pandemic Coronavirus ravaging the world, native doctors in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo local Government Area, Anambra state said they had drugs capable of curing the dreaded disease.

The native doctors, who come under the aegis of Odinana Herbal Association, disclosed to journalists in Ozumulu, after a closed door executive meeting presided over by their chairman, Somadina Okwuchukwu Azubuike, (a.k.a. Odogwu Ozubulu).

They requested the state government to give them up to a month to get to the bush and gather the herbs and roots for the job, stressing that no disease that had no cure.

The chairman of the association said”:We have drugs to cure the disease, any disease has drug created by God.

” The problem is that, government does not regard us; they prefer the orthodox medicine practitioners to the natives but forget that it is the roots and herbs that are used to manufacture the orthodox medicine.

“We are happy that after trying all the scientific ways to discover drugs for the cure, it was in vain and that is why they remember us.

“Let government get one or two of the patients who are positive and quarantine them for us because we don’t have accommodation for them here in Ozubulu, we will give them curing concoctions.

“We want to use the two as a reference point and after the two have been cured, without any coat, government will then bring scores for curing but has to support us financially.”

The chairman gave assurance that the ball “is now in the court of the association, the native doctors will definitely produce the drugs in no distant time.”

Contributing, the patron of the association, Odinga John Chukwukelu, also assured that of the resolve of the association in finding lasting solution to the pandermic disease.

“We will produce the drugs within a space of time, only if the government will give us the go ahead order. The drugs are already there in the bush waiting.

“If the government supports us, we will produce the drugs immediately,”he said.
