A middle aged man, suspected of being a gay, Chidi Asuzu, is now cooling it off in police net in Riverd state for allegedly raping 14-year-old boy in Oruworokwo community in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The online publication further learnt that Asuzu caught by incident community residents before he was handed over to the police.

Confirming the incident, the Chairman of the Civil Rights Council, Rivers State Chapter, Prince Wiro, praised the community for toeing the path of justice in the matter.

“The youths of Oruworokwo community apprehended the suspect on Wednesday while he was allegedly having carnal knowledge of the 14-year-old boy at a dark corner in the community.

He noted that the suspect was handed over to the community chief to look into the matter.

However, the council said the matter should be investigated by the police rather than being handled by the community.

The Police Public Relations Officer,(PPRO), Nnamdi Omoni, promised that the matter would be investigated and the suspect duly prosecuted within the law, if the outcome of the investigation reveals that.
