Governor Bello receives condolences over mother’s death

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has started receiving condolent messages from various segments of the population, in and outside the over the death of his mother, Hajia Hawawu Bello.

Duaglobalnews reports that the deceased, aged 101, answered the call of Allah in Abuja on Saturday during a brief illness.

One of the early sympathisers, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Wemi Jones commiserated with Bello and his entire family over the incident.

The Commissioner also prayed God to grant the entire family and His Excellency, the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Jones, in a statement signed by the Information Officer of the ministry, Seidu Ademu, on Sunday in Lokoja prayed God to give the deceased eternal rest.

The Commissioner noted that her death was not just a loss to the entire Bello Ipemida Ochi’s family, but also to the entire Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

”On behalf of myself and the entire management and staff of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, we express our sincere sympathy to Your Excellency and the entire Pa Bello Ipemida Ochi family about the passing of your beloved mother.

”It is never easy to lose a loved one, and it is especially difficult to lose a mother, irrespective of age. No matter how old we get, we still need our mothers.

‘The commissioner described the deceased as an inspiration to many that would be dearly miss her, adding that her passege, notwithstanding,” we truly believe that she will continue to watch over her beloved son.”

”Your Excellency, please accept our most sincere condolences sir. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time”.

”May Allah, in His infinite mercy, grant Mama Aljanah firdous, amen,” he said.
