Kogi Governor dissolves LG Administrators

Governor Yahya Bello of kogi state has dissolved the 21 local government administrators.

The Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Dr.Folashade Arike Ayoade, made the disclosure in a statement in Lokoja on Tuesday.

According to her, the administrators and their team have been directed to handover to the Director of Local Government(DLG) in their respective council, on March 4, 2020.

The secretary said: “Following the Constitution of Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) and the expiration of the tenure of the administrators, the Governor, Alhaji Yahya Bello, has approved the dissolution of the administrative team

“The governor appreciates their profound contributions to the development of their respective councils and the state at large, and wishes them well in their future endeavours.

“The dissolution of the local government administrator team takes immediate effect.”

Contributing to the issue, Evangelist Kingsley FanwoKogi, Commissioner for Information and Communication, said the dissolution of the council administrators notwithstanding, they remained ‘the GYB family.”
