Kwara sacks media heads

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara state has approved the removal of all heads of state-owned media houses, according to a release signed by the Commissioner for Mr Murtala Olanrewaju in Ilorin on Wednesday.

The affected officers are: General Manager of Radio kwara, his counter part in Kwara State Television Service as well as that of the Herald Newspaper, all in Olorin.

No reason given for the development but the Governor thanked them and directed that they should hand over to the most senior officer in their respective establishment pending the appointment of substantive chief executive officers for the affected media houses.
