A Chairmanship aspirant, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area in the planned local government election Mr Alhasan Timothy -Kayode, has promised to replicate the vision of the New Direction of the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello, if elected.

The aspirant, who made the promise in an interview with our correspondent in Lokoja on Thursday, commended Bello for promoting unity and ensuring equity, justice and fairness in the governance of the state.

Timothy-Kayode said that the burning desire in him to provide good governance, infrastructure and ensure dividends of democracy for the people of the area motivated him to aspire for the position.

The aspirant, who expressed concern that Iluke Ward had been marginalised in the past in the area of appointments and elective positions, urged the leaders of the party to consider the Ward for the Chairmanship position in the interest of equity and fairness.

“I am from Iluke Ward, We’ve never benefited from any appointment in the history of Kabba/Bunu and Kogi State.

“For the purpose of equity, fairness and justice which is the main drive of Governor Bello’s administration, Iluke people deserve to present the candidate for Kabba/Bunu Chairmanship election.” he said.

Timothy- Kayode, an APC chieftain, promised to leave above board, if the electorate give him the mandate to be the chairman of the council.

He commended Governor Bello, Sen. Smart Adeyemi, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Wemi Jones, for their commitment to the development of the area.

The aspirant also gave kudos to the Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara, retired, the Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, the Olubunu of Bunu land, Oba Joseph Ikusemoro and party stakeholders in the area in the same vein.
