The Executive Chairman, Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS), Mr Aliyu Inda Salami, has felicitated with the Management and Staff of the Service, on the occasion of Eid-el- Kabir celebrations.
In a statement released by the Head, Corporate Communication of the Service, Mr Isah Idris,the Chairman called on the Muslim faithful to use the occasion for sober reflection, self-examination and strive to be good ambassadors of Islam by upholding high moral values.
The chairman reminded the Muslims that Eid-el-Kabir offered an opportunity for them to recall the submission of Prophet Abraham (AS) to God by which He tought the world the value of sacrifice.
Salami said,”We must imbibe this lesson and make it a duty to sacrifice for one another and always remember those who are less privileged.”
The boss of the Service urged the staff to rise above personal interest and display integrity as well as humility when dealing with the taxpayers.
Salami, therefore,wished the staff happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
