Former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians in Kogi State and across Nigeria as they joined other Christians to mark this year’s Easter celebration, following the completion of the 40-day Lent.

In a statement signed by OHIARE MICHAEL
Director, Yahaya Bello Media Office in Abuja on Saturday,
the former governor urged the Christian faithful to embrace the virtues of love, sacrifice, peace, unity, and hope as demonstrated during Easter, stressing that these values are critical to national development and peaceful coexistence.

According to him, the lessons of Easter, drawn from the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ, are universal and timeless, offering hope and guidance, especially as Nigeria faces socio-economic and security challenges.

He noted that these values are essential for fostering peace, strengthening unity, and overcoming national difficulties.

Bello encouraged Christians to reflect on the significance of the season by living out the teachings of compassion, tolerance, and unity.

He also commended the peaceful coexistence among different religious groups in Kogi State and urged citizens to sustain and strengthen such harmony.

The former governor further called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and resolute, assuring them that just as Easter symbolizes victory after trials, the nation will overcome its challenges and emerge stronger.

Bello prayed for God’s intervention to heal the land, guide leaders, and usher Nigeria into lasting peace, progress, and prosperity.
