In a significant announcement from the Haramain Sharifain, Muslims across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have been informed that Eid Al-Fitr will be celebrated on Friday, March 20, 2026.
The official bulletin confirmed that the crescent of Shawwal 1447 was not sighted anywhere in the Kingdom today, meaning the holy month of Ramadan will complete a full 30 days.
Following this, Eid Al-Fitr, marking the end of a month of fasting, charity, and spiritual reflection, will commence on Friday.
Muslims across Saudi Arabia and around the world are expected to join in prayers, celebrations, and acts of charity, commemorating the conclusion of Ramadan and embracing the blessings of Eid.
Authorities and religious leaders are urging the faithful to observe the festive days with devotion, unity, and compassion.
This announcement provides certainty to the millions of Muslims planning for the Eid festivities, ensuring that preparations for prayers, family gatherings, and acts of generosity align with the official sighting and the Islamic lunar calendar.
