The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has warned that it will impose appropriate sanctions on errant telecommunications companies at the expiration of a 45-day grace period.
This, the commission said is in line with the Nigerian Communications (Enforcement Processes, etc.) Regulations, 2019.
Our recalls correspondent recalls that NCC has issued licensed telecom operators a 45-day ultimatum to regularise unapproved changes exceeding 10 per cent in their shareholding,
pursuant to Regulations 41, 42 and 43 of the Licensing Regulations, 2019, structures.
According to Consumerconnect,the directive was disclosed by the Commission in a recent notice to telecom operators, published on the NCC’s official corporate website.
The Commission emphasised that failure to comply within the stipulated period would attract enforcement actions and sanctions as provided by the relevant regulations.
