The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Kogi State branch, has lauded the management and staff of the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS) for their invaluable contributions to efficient tax administration and effective revenue generation in the state.
The branch chairman of the Institute, Mr. Daniel Marcus Akuse, gave the commendation on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to the Department of Public Affairs of the Service in Lokoja.
Akuse described the operations of KGIRS as pivotal to the state’s economic development, noting that the management and staff have continued to justify the confidence reposed in them through their professionalism and commitment to service delivery.
He further expressed the Institute’s readiness to collaborate with the KGIRS in promoting enhanced service delivery and strengthening human resource capacity for improved revenue performance.
In his response, the Head of Public Affairs, Alhaji Mohammed Mukhtar Idris, commended the CIPM team for the visit and their contributions to human capital development.
He assured that KGIRS would continue to partner with the Institute for mutual growth and the overall development of the State.
