IDRISIYYA ISLAMIC SCHOOL CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION

Hundred’s Gather for Moulud Nabawi, Launch of Islamic Poetic Songs, and Wolimat Quran

Idrisiyya School of Islamic Studies recently hosted a grand celebration to commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa’alih Wassallam), marking a significant milestone in the school’s 40-year history. The event drew dignitaries and personalities from across Nigeria, showcasing the unity and devotion of the Muslim community in Okene and its environs.

The event commenced with an opening prayer led by Adam AbdulSalam,followed by heartfelt tributes to the founder of the Islamic school, the late Alhaji Idris AbdulSalam an adent follower of late Sheikh Ahmad Rufai of Egbirra land.

Sheikh Muhammad Mukhtar Sani Omolori, the Grand Mufti of the School,in his opening remarks,emphasized the importance of seeking knowledge in Islam, urging Muslims to intensify their efforts in acquiring knowledge to serve Allah in accordance with Islamic injunctions.

The event featured the launch of Islamic poetic songs and Wolimat Quran, highlighting the school’s commitment to promoting Islamic arts and culture.

Sheikh Omolori urged Muslims to uphold unity, respect their parents, and seek forgiveness and Allah’s favor at all times.

Honourable Justice Saidu Isah Okino of the Sharia Court of Appeal, Kogi State, emphasized the importance of parents providing moral training and beneficial knowledge to their children.

The Director of the school, Ustaz Muhammad Mukhtar Idris, highlighted the school’s 40-year journey, noting that the late Sheikh Ahmed Rufai’s approval paved the way for the establishment of the Islamic school.

The celebration served as a reminder of the Prophet’s message of love, forgiveness, and mercy, and demonstrated the community’s commitment to embodying these values.

Finally, not less than twenty four people paraded as the graduate of the Holy Quran at the event.

Notable dignitaries, including Sheikh Abdulmumin Obehira, Sheikh Muhammad Chindo,Ohi oyi Anigere HRH Alh Idris Okuku, Sheikh Musa Onogu,and many others.
