Former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello; the current Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo; and the lawmaker representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide, on Sunday held a strategic closed-door meeting in Lokoja to deliberate on the state’s development.
The meeting, according to a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, in Lokoja was aimed at strengthening collaboration to attract greater federal presence to the state.
According to him, discussions at the meeting centered on critical areas including infrastructure, security, and other development initiatives that would improve the welfare of citizens.
Fanwo praised Rt. Hon. Abejide for demonstrating a spirit of cooperation across party lines, describing the synergy among political leaders as a major step toward unity and progress in the state.
“What they are working on will be of great benefit to Kogites,” the commissioner assured, emphasizing that the renewed partnership would open fresh opportunities for the people.
