Something quietly powerful is unfolding at Summit University, Offa a silent revolution that is redefining the landscape of STEM education in Nigeria.

On Thursday, 17th July 2025, the University marked a historic milestone with the official commissioning of three landmark facilities by Prince Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem (SAN, FCArb), National President of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria and the Visitor to the University. These facilities include the Kola Balogun College of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Engineering, generously donated by Engr. Dr. Kola Balogun; the Isiaq Family Foundation Accounting Technology Laboratory, donated by the Isiaq Family Foundation (IFF); and the Information and Communication Technology Laboratory, supported by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Abuja.

These are not just physical structures—they are engines of transformation. Their commissioning heralds a new era of possibilities, not only for the university but for the country at large. With these facilities in place, Summit University is rapidly becoming a hub for cutting-edge innovation, inclusive learning, and industry-aligned training.

We are already seeing significant momentum. The number of STEM-related Bachelor’s and Postgraduate programmes is expanding, giving students more relevant academic options and career pathways. Access to STEM education is improving, especially for students from underserved communities who previously lacked such opportunities. Artificial Intelligence is no longer an abstract concept taught in theory alone,it is now being demystified and democratised, reaching learners from all backgrounds.

Perhaps most encouraging is the growing participation of young women in our STEM programmes. Female enrolment is on the rise, classrooms are becoming more inclusive, and the gender gap in engineering and digital fields is beginning to narrow. Our students are acquiring hands-on, market-relevant skills that position them for immediate impact—whether in employment or entrepreneurship. As a result, the employability of our graduates, especially women, is steadily increasing.

The university’s research infrastructure has also received a much-needed boost, allowing faculty and students alike to engage in deeper, more meaningful exploration of emerging technologies. Professional development opportunities are growing, offering both students and working professionals avenues for upskilling, reskilling, and lifelong learning.

These outcomes are not accidental. They are the result of vision, strategic partnerships, and a shared belief that education must evolve to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

At the core of this silent revolution is a deep conviction—that the future belongs to those who prepare for it. And that preparation is already happening, quietly and powerfully, here in Offa.

Admissions are now open, with scholarship opportunities available. This is the moment to step forward. Whether for you or someone close to you, the doors of opportunity are wide open at Summit University. Do not be left out of this remarkable journey.
