The Crime Reporters Global, Nigeria, has tasked the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, to fish out compromised officers in the escape saga of suspects in Anambra Police Command.

A statement by the National Chairman, Tita Onyeabuchi Nze,in Abuja on Friday said it received with abysmal shock and dismay the reported case of escaped Suspects from Anambra Police Custody.

The foremost crime reporting organisation says it views the purported escape as a film trick, a hoax and a seemingly script of a Tales-by-Moonlight Stories, urging the Inspector General of Police to urgently commence an in depth investigation into the skit like act in order to bring the Police Officers involved and all perpetrators to book.

“The Inspector General of Police should as a matter of national interest and urgent concerns, wade into the sad melodramatic occurrence with a view to unravelling the ugly circumstances and prevent future occurrence”.

The group also called for the immediate re-arrest of the suspects in order to face the full weight of the law.

The sad incident occured when two suspects involved in the kidnapping and murder of the State House of Assembly member, Hon. Justice Azuka, escaped, when police operatives took them on an operation.
