Late Hon. Enema Paul.
The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, has expressed his condolences to the family of the immediate past Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Hon. Enema Paul, who passed away on Saturday at a private hospital in Abuja following an undisclosed illness.
Hon. Paul, who represented the Okura Constituency in the 8th Assembly, stepped down from his role as Deputy Speaker due to health challenges. He was succeeded by Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola, representing the Ibaji State Constituency.
In a statement issued in Lokoja on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed, and made available to journalists in Lokoja, Rt. Hon. Yusuf described the late Hon. Paul as a humble, temperate, and committed public servant.
He praised the deceased for his dedication to fostering unity and advancing the development of Kogi State through pro-people legislation.
“Hon. Enema Paul was a true friend, a team player, and a legislator whose efforts were centered on the growth and progress of our state,” the Speaker stated.
He also commended Hon. Paul’s unwavering Christian faith and his devotion to family values, noting that these qualities transcended religious and social boundaries.
The Speaker prayed for God’s comfort for the late lawmaker’s family and strength for his colleagues in both the current and past Assemblies to bear the loss.
Hon. Enema Paul will be remembered for his selfless service and contributions to the legislative arm of Kogi State.
