2 Polytechnic Staff Electrocuted In Ekiti

(Ado-Ekit)

Two staff of the Federal polytechnic Ado Ekiti were electrocuted on Monday while undertaking repair at a section of the institution.

The Director of Information and protocol, Mr Ade Adejolu confirmed the deaths to newsmen in Ado Ekiti.

He explained that the deceased were fixing a faulty facility in the institution when the incident h hiappened.

According to him, One of them has been taken to his home town in Kogi state for immediate burial while the corpse of the second one has been deposited at Mary Asumptha morgue in Ado Ekiti.

Electrocution is the injury or killing of someone by electric shock.

Experts identity causes of electrocution to include: faulty appliances,damaged or frayed cords or extension leads.

Others are electrical appliances coming in contact with water, incorrect or deteriorated household wiring and downed powerlines as well as lightning strike.
